Carpe Diem Card by Mandy C

Circle Card Blank
Tim Holtz Die Cut Clock
Small Alphabet Stamp Set
Distress Paint ~ Broken China
White Chalk Pencil

·       Take your die cut clock and spritz with the ‘after midnight’ spray. Leave to dry. Once dry use the distress paint and the harlequin pattern from Dylusions basic backgrounds stamp set and randomly stamp onto the clock.

·       Take a piece of card slightly larger than the die cut and spray with the yellow spray. Dry with a heat tool.

·       Using Cosmic Shimmer glue, adhere the clock and the yellow background together. Trim around the clock.

·       Stamp the key background into the centre of the clock using Stazon saddle brown. (doesn’t have to be a clear image as it’s just to add ‘interest’)

·       Line the clock up so the 12 is at the top and stamp the time flies girl’s head and part of the body onto the card. The only bit that needs to be clearly stamped is the clock around the girls head.

·       Stamp the girl image again onto card. Colour with watercolour pencils and cut out. Adhere to the centre of the card over the stamped image.

·       Using the black fineliner, draw a circle in the centre and add some stripes. Fill in with white gel pen.

·       Stamp Carpe Diem inside the circle.

·       Once I’d done my card I felt it was missing something so I used the numbers from the basic backgrounds set of stamps and used Gray stazon on and added numbers on the clock.

·       Do some shading and highlighting with the pencils.

·       Finally adhere to your circle card blank.
