Donna here today sharing a tag featuring one of Tim Holtz’s crazy birdies! I know these are really popular stamps and it’s so easy to see why as they go great on anything. They are very addictive!
Here’s What I Did:
Working on a size 8 tag, I covered it lightly with a layer of Fresco paint. Then I took an empty toilet roll holder from the recycling sack and dipped it into some white paint and then stamped some white circles on the tag. This gives a lovely, random effect.
A DecoArt Media Mister was sprayed lightly over the tag and allowed to splatter and run down.
Next I took a scribbly writing Dina Wakley stamp and applied over the background.
Then onto thick, white card, stamp your Tim Holtz bird, Dina Wakley heart stamps. I also stamped a star, which I carved from Speedycarve.
Colour the bird and hearts with Promarkers (use Memento Ink to stamp with for this). The star was stamped with Archival Ink Hydrangea colour which is a beautiful sort of muted blue/grey shade.
Adhere everything to the tag and then decorate with some lovely bling in the form of Stickles.
I also punched some holes using my beloved Crop-a-Dile, added eyelets, then added some paper twine from Ranger threaded through the eyelets.
For the final finishing touch I added some words from the Tim Holtz Small Talk Sticker Book.
Hope you like it
