Do That by Moira Sutton

6 x 6  Card Blank
Lindy's Stamp Gang Flat Fabio Sprays – Tilt a Wheel Teal and Pop Rock Purple from Under the Boardwalk set

I made this as a birthday card to my husband from our two dogs one that is black and one mainly white with black patches. I started by stamping the dogs in Versamark and embossing one in black and one in white.

I spritzed the 2 Lindy’s Stamp Gang Sprays and left to dry so I did not re-melt the embossing powder and wiped any ink off the embossed dogs. Some of the Flat Fabios have white added to give a more chalky finish including the Under The Boardwalk set.

When dry I added DecoArt Modelling Paste through the Specimen stencil

Added black collar and white eyes to the black dog and white collage and black patches to the white dog to match our hairy pair.

Finally the sentiment stamp from the PA set as I felt this perfectly fitted with our dog’s world view. Needless to say hubby was very impressed that the dogs had managed this all by themselves though I did admit to helping with the hot gun!

Is it Nearly Christmas Yet? by Donna Gray

Hello everyone,

Donna here today with a Christmas card featuring those adorable grumpy penguins….the little penguin looks like he’s been at the sherry again!!

What To Do:

Take a sheet of Strathmore mixed media paper and gesso the whole lot, dry thoroughly.

Next, take your chosen three colours of Gelatos and randomly apply over the page, smearing a bit with your fingers to blend in. I’ve found that without gesso, Gelatos do not blend as well.

Place a Crafters Workshop stencil over the page and with a moist baby wipe start to remove some of the Gelato colours through the stencil to give a faux bleach effect, once again dry thoroughly.

Stamp your penguins and the little Santa hat on thick card with black memento ink and lightly colour with some Spectrum Noir pencils the beaks and bellies, blend with the blending solution and paper stumps for the best effect.

Using the Tim Holtz stencil Christmas stencil, trace through the words Merry Christmas with a black pen onto the background.

Final step is to adhere your penguins to the front of the page, mount onto black card and then white cardstock. Add a little touch of blingy stickles to the little worse for wear penguin and there you have a very Merry Christmas card ;)

Angel Wishes by Fliss Goodwin

Hi there, I have a card to share this week featuring one of my favourite Carabelle Studio stamps and a background made with Brusho Crystals.

Ingredients:

Brusho Crystals – Lemon, Lime Green, Yellow Ochre
Ribbon

Recipe:

I made the background paper by sprinkling the Brusho Crystals on white card and misting with water. I tilted the card to let the colours run a little and then dried it with a heat gun.

Cut a piece about the same width as the lace border stamp. Stamp this near the bottom of the paper with the black ink.

Stamp the distressed stitch image all over the remainder of the paper, stamping 3 times before re-inking and using the pink dye ink. Stamp the collage image from the set just right of the centre using the pink ink. Stamp the stitching along the top of the paper with black ink.

Stamp the angel tag image on the white stamping paper with the black ink and colour with Promarkers. Cut the image out and punch out the hole in the top. Tie some ribbon through.

Add the background paper to a black mat and stick to a square white card blank. Stick the angel tag on with foam pads. Finish off with black text stickers.

Have a great weekend and see you next week.

Fabulous Birthday by Debs Wainwright

Hello everyone, today I'm sharing a card I made for a friend using a master board.

I carved some flowers using easy carve and stamped randomly over the page.

I then started to colour it in with acrylic paint.

The finished the page.

I then cut this in four and mounted one quarter onto some card which I then stuck it to a ready assembled card.

What I used

Black Card
Assembled card from my stash

I love the bright colours on the card, and I hope it brings some colour your way on these dreary days

Bye for now, hugs
