A Simple Card by Mandy Chilvers

00:00

Hi all, it’s Mandy again with a very simple yet stylishly grungy card to show you this week. I’m using Carabelle Studio stamps for this one.  Ideal for any occasion card!

Items used:

4 inch Square Blank Card

Take your white card and cut a square out slightly smaller than your card blank.

Mix the texture paste and the alchemy paint together and using a palette knife, scrape some of the mixture through the stencil on the lower left side and the upper right side of the card.

Leave to dry … you can speed this up by heat setting but it will bubble which is great to add texture but I wanted this card to be relatively flat.

Once the paste is dry, stamp the Carabelle Studio stamp centrally, using the black Archival ink. Blast with a heat tool to make sure it’s dry before carrying on.

Use the Vintage Photo Distress ink to edge the card, and then the Gathered Twigs.

Stamp the smallest butterfly from the Finnabair stamp set onto a piece of white card and cut out.

Add some of the star rub on’s to the card, just under the stamping. This will make the main image slightly larger.

Add ‘hope’ rub on to the upper left of the stamped image.

Take your sprays and undo the nozzle. Use the pipe to add some splatters to the card. Then splatter water on top. This gives a softer and more watercolour effect to your card.

Colour the mini butterfly with the blue spray using a paint brush. Glue onto your card wherever you like it.

Outline the hope word and also around the edge of the card.

Matt the stamped piece of card onto the black card and then onto the kraft card and finally onto your card blank.
