Punk Up Your Steam by Donna Gray

Hi everyone,

Donna here today with a card featuring a gorgeous stamp I’d forgotten I’d not even inked up yet….bad me!!

What to do:

For the steampunk image, stamp on a piece of Strathmore Mixed Media Paper with black Archival ink and proceed to colour in with a mixture of Distress Markers, picked up with a water brush. Fussy cut out and put to one side.

For the star, using another piece of Strathmore paper, sprinkle some Infusions on (Slime), spritz with water and stamp with black Archival, fussy cut that out too and put to one side.

Place a little Distress Oxide (Walnut Stain) onto your craft mat, spritz with water and pick this colour up with a palette knife and flick directly onto the card. I can’t remember where I saw this tip but it makes for really great splatter effects that’s for sure!

Stamp the script stamp directly onto the card with black Archival ink then adhere the two stamped images directly onto the card.

For a finishing touch I added a little cog stamp to her arm as I thought it needed a little something there and then added some twine to the card. So there you have a sort of ‘clean’ steampunk effect ;)
